Political scandals are a phenomenon that haunts many contemporary democratic societies and that has become so important due to the activity of the mass media, the main mediator between the citizen and the political world. The theme can show in greater detail the relationship between communication and politics within societies which there are democratic regimes, taking into account the interests of journalistic and political fields in the disclosure of such events. The study will be conducted under the light of the constructivist theories of journalism like newsmaking and agenda-setting. The subject of this work is the scandal "Maria do Socorro" what happened in the municipal elections in Recife, 2004, and was one of the factors that may have influenced the outcome of the election
O escÃndalo polÃtico à um fenÃmeno que assombra vÃrias sociedades democrÃticas contemporÃneas e que se tornou tÃo importante graÃas à atuaÃÃo dos meios de comunicaÃÃo de massa, principal mediador entre o cidadÃo comum e o mundo polÃtico. O tema pode explicitar com grandes detalhes a relaÃÃo entre comunicaÃÃo e polÃtica dentro de sociedades em que funcionam regimes democrÃticos, levando em conta os interesses dos campos jornalÃstico e polÃtico na divulgaÃÃo desses acontecimentos. O estudo serà realizado sob a luz das teorias construtivistas do jornalismo como a teoria da produÃÃo da notÃcia (newsmaking) e a teoria do agendamento (agenda-setting). O caso estudado aqui serà o escÃndalo âBrasÃlia Teimosaâ que aconteceu nas eleiÃÃes municipais de 2004 na cidade do Recife, o escÃndalo foi um dos fatores que podem ter influenciado no resultado do pleito |
